My move with United Van Lines was a frustrating and expensive ordeal. The initial quote was significantly lower than the final price I was charged, with hidden fees added for services that weren’t clearly explained upfront. Worse, the movers arrived late on both pickup and delivery days, and there was very little communication throughout the process. I felt left in the dark about when my belongings would arrive, and when they finally did, several boxes were missing. It took weeks of follow-up calls to resolve the issue. Overall, the lack of transparency and poor organization made this a stressful experience.

I chose United Van Lines based on their reputation, but my experience was far from satisfactory. During the move, several of my items were damaged, including an antique table that was a family heirloom. Despite purchasing additional insurance, the claims process was tedious and slow. The company’s customer service team seemed unhelpful and often passed me off to another department. For the premium price they charge, I expected better handling of my belongings and a more streamlined resolution process. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend United Van Lines based on this experience.

Avoid this moving company at all costs. All around a nightmare experience. They showed up late. The customer service was straight out of KGB Eastern Bloc style something. They took no care of my mom's inventory (furniture, lamps, household goods, etc) and ended up destroying or damaging over 5k usd of her stuff during the interstate move. And they offered a 40 usd refund after I documented it all and took hours detailing it. Absolutely do not allow this company to touch your move from home to new home.
