Am currently having to cancel a much anticipated move because they played bait and switch. We gave the agent the sizes of our storage units, he gave us a quote, and I even asked him to recheck because it looked too low for the items. I didn’t notice that in the contract he dropped a zero off of the cubic feet. It went from 3000 to 300. We received the “quality” call about the pick up on Monday, and we discussed with the driver the amount of space required. That will make the price almost 10 times the quote. Do not use this company, major bait and switch. On top of everything, we are out of pocket $500 for airline tickets, and $400 for rental cars, a weeks vacation time and still have to probably cancel!

Look, I know moving is expensive, and Allied talks a good game, leaves you a nice folder and is a lower quote than some of the other full service movers. But they contract out to other packers and movers, and these people don't always know what they're doing. Our stuff was left behind, broken and lost in transit, and not reassembled upon arrival. We also were delivered two additional packages that are not ours. I told them immediately, but I'm sorry Miss Abigail, no one cares enough at Allied to get your crafts and wine glasses back to you. I am working through the claims process, but it is tedious and frankly for the amount of money I spent I don't want homework.

The problem was, Atlas is just a broker, taking your money when you could go direct to the mover and save about $2-2.5k. The other issue is that they give you a quote, knowing that you will underestimate weight, etc. based on cubic feet usage and if you go over, it will dramatically increase your cost. Damages to goods as well, difficulty getting the necessary documents from CS for damage claim, and the process is confusing and lengthy. Emmit, the salesman, gave the song and dance about how "careful" they were with goods, "white glove service"....not mine and not my experience!
